Mulebuy now: an offline site, saved links and the rules it left behind

Mulebuy was a Chinese purchasing agent with a busy summer in 2026. It is offline now. This page records what it was, what it published while it ran, and what a saved link or a question about an order still means.

Mulebuy in 2026, from a busy summer to an offline site

Through the summer of 2026 Mulebuy behaved like any busy purchasing agent. Its notice feed, as shown in an archived copy from August 2026, carried a steady run of announcements through June and July: new shipping lines, suspended routes, price changes on selected lines, a warning on 13 July about typhoon delays and a function update on 3 July. The last notice in that feed is dated 31 July 2026 and headed "Notice: Recent Natural Disaster Impacts". Nothing was posted after it.

Other first-party channels went quiet within days. The Android app listing says it was last updated on 31 July 2026 and the iPhone app's last version, 2.9.22, arrived on 1 August with the note "Bug Fix". The last blog post we could find was published on 6 August, and archived copies of the home page show it answering normally on that date.

September is where the record turns patchy. Independent uptime logs and user reports describe the site as slow and intermittent through the month. On 18 October 2026 our own browser was shown a Cloudflare banner saying the site was offline and offering an old snapshot; on 19 October 2026 the same address returned error 522 with an empty page.

Community posts from August 2026, which we cannot confirm, describe its warehouse as having been closed; we have not verified an official confirmation of the reported cause.

Our own check, 18 October 2026: the banner Cloudflare showed in place of mulebuy.com. On 19 October the address returned error 522 with a blank page.

How a Mulebuy order worked while it was running

Mulebuy was a purchasing agent: you paid it to order from Chinese marketplaces in your name, it collected the goods in its own warehouse, and it sent them abroad in a parcel you paid for separately. The May to August 2026 copies of its help pages describe the same sequence most agents use. You pasted a listing link or searched inside its site, paid for the item and any domestic delivery, waited for the seller to send it to a warehouse in Guangdong (the help pages name Huizhou), and then saw photos of the item once it arrived.

The listings it worked from came from Taobao, Tmall, Weidian, 1688, Xianyu, Xiaohongshu and JD, according to its June 2026 ordering page. Items waited in the warehouse until you chose a shipping line and submitted a parcel, at which point the parcel was weighed, priced and paid for.

On money, its August 2026 help pages said it charged no agent service fee, and also listed fixed charges per parcel, such as a customs declaration fee. Both statements were true at once: the service fee was zero, the parcel was not free. Prices were shown in your chosen currency at a rate the site set itself.

None of that can be used now. This page describes it so that people holding Mulebuy links, orders or account balances know what the rules were when they last saw them.

Many people still have Mulebuy product links in notes, chats and bookmarks. They will not open, but they are not empty. A Mulebuy product link was built from the original listing: alongside a referral parameter, which you can ignore, it carried an "id" parameter holding the listing's number on the source platform and a "platform" parameter naming that platform, written in capitals, for example WEIDIAN.

So a link that looked like, to take an invented example, mulebuy.com/product?...&id=6012345678&platform=WEIDIAN pointed at listing 6012345678 on Weidian. The listing itself was never Mulebuy's. It belongs to a shop on that marketplace, and in most cases it is still there, although the price, the options or the stock may have changed since you saved it, and some listings will have been taken down.

Because the listing lives on the marketplace, any working agent can usually order from it, whether you give the agent the shop's own link or search for the product again. We do not offer a converter for these links and do not need to: the two parameters above are all the information they ever held.

Orders, parcels and money left in an account

Mulebuy has not published anything about orders, parcels or account balances since its last notice on 31 July 2026, and we have no way of knowing whether its customer service still answers (our check, 19 October 2026). We will not guess at what happens to goods in its warehouse or money in its accounts, and nobody else outside the company can tell you either.

What we can describe is the rule it published while it was running. Its August 2026 help pages said withdrawals from an account balance went back to the original payment method, that the payment platform charged a handling fee of one US dollar per withdrawal, and that a withdrawal usually took seven to ten business days. That was its rule then; it is not a statement about what is possible now.

If you have a question about a particular payment you made, the people who can tell you which rules apply to it are your card issuer or the payment service you used.

The storage rules in its summer 2026 help pages

Mulebuy's storage rules were among its clearest pages. The August 2026 copy said items were stored free for 90 days, counted from the day an item's status became "Stored in Warehouse". An item one to thirty days past that period could be extended at ten yuan a month; an item more than thirty days past it became, in the help page's words, "storage but unavailable for submitting", and you had to contact support.

The site's own interface text from June 2026 was blunter: "Unextended items will be disposed of 30 days after free storage ends." Read together, the two say the same thing in different tones. An item left unextended would reach that point around 120 days after it was stored.

The May 2026 copy of its help centre had different figures again, which the August pages replaced. We give the August version because it was the latest the site published. As with everything on this page, it describes the rule while the site was running.

Notices, apps and the groups it ran

Of the seventeen items in its archived notice feed, the ones headed "Notice" in June and July 2026 dealt with shipping lines and delays, and the rest were promotions, which we do not repeat because every one of them has expired. The available notice-feed archive ends on 31 July 2026; it does not establish whether later announcements exist.

The earlier public invite/app descriptions recorded here establish that a page was reachable at that date. They do not establish current service, support responsiveness or the contents of private Discord/Telegram discussions. This review did not join or read those private channels.

Its iPhone and Android apps are still listed in the app stores, with last updates at the end of July and start of August 2026. An app that cannot reach its server cannot place an order, whatever the store page says.

What Mulebuy offered, and what to weigh in its place

While it was running, Mulebuy's case was easy to state. It charged no agent service fee, gave 90 days of free storage, accepted links from seven Chinese marketplaces and published its rules in English in a help centre that was easy to search. Those are the reasons people picked it, and they are why so many links and finds still carry its name.

None of that applies on 19 October 2026, when the site does not load at all. That is the simple answer to when to use another agent: now, for anything you want to buy.

If you are choosing a working agent for a bag in particular, three things matter more than the headline fee. How long storage is free, and what it costs afterwards for a light but bulky item; whether you can ask for a photo with a tape measure across the inside before the bag ships; and whether the agent states both of those in its own help pages. The Choosing page sets four working agents side by side on exactly those points, with dates.

The counterfeit rule on its prohibited items page

Mulebuy's prohibited items page ended with an anti-counterfeiting policy. It was written in the general terms most agents use, and it listed what would happen to an order that broke it: the order declined, the account suspended, funds withheld and goods disposed of.

"The purchase of counterfeit products is strictly prohibited."

Its product pages also refused some listings outright. In the site's own interface text from June 2026, the message read: "We are sorry, but we are unable to purchase this item due to potential brand infringement."

Our position is simpler still. This site does not list counterfeit goods, does not help anyone buy them, and picks the products shown in its catalogue pictures for having no brand marks at all. A working agent will apply its own version of the same rule to anything you order through it.

Two public posts, two different evidential limits

These original Reddit posts were read through publicly indexed text on 22 October 2026. We have not verified the orders, identities, photographs or payment records. The links may require access that the search excerpt does not. A successful old order and an unresolved recent complaint cannot establish a current delivery rate.

What to do with this evidence

Record the laptop body dimensions, not just its screen diagonal. Ask for the usable sleeve opening and inside depth with a tape, plus the outside packed size including handles. If a photo only shows an empty front, request the missing measurement before approving shipment. Fit box treats objects as boxes: padding, curved walls and loaded bulges can invalidate an apparent fit.

Current access check: home and fee-page requests timed out on 22 October 2026. The cause, operating capacity and individual order outcomes remain unverified. The archived notice feed ends on 31 July 2026; that is the end of the available copy, not proof that no later communication exists. We have no verified private-channel comments to add.
